Your Home Is Empty. Collection Day Isn't.
Trash Caddy keeps trash day running at seasonal homes in Palm Beach County while owners are away. We roll bins to the curb and back on every collection day, text photo confirmation, and pause or resume service around your travel dates. No HOA violations, no neighbor complaints. Standard service is $89 per month. Call 561-913-2023.
The Problem With Leaving for Six Months
You close up the house in April, set the thermostat, stop the mail and fly north. Trash day keeps going without you. Your landscaper leaves clippings in the yard waste bin. A neighbor borrows the recycling cart for a party. A storm knocks a can over and it rolls into the street. By June the association has sent a letter to an address you are not checking.
Seasonal residents in Palm Beach County deal with this every year. Some ask a neighbor to watch the cans, which works until the neighbor travels too. Others leave the bins in the garage all summer, which can create its own problems if the landscaper or house watcher needs them.
Trash Caddy handles it the same way every week, whether you are here or not.
Every Rollout and Return, While You're Gone
Before each scheduled pickup, our crew moves your carts from storage to the curb and lines them up for the truck. After collection, we bring them back and close any gate behind us. Then we text a photo so you can see, from wherever you are, that the cans are tucked away.
If nothing is in the bins that week, the visit still confirms the cans are where they belong and haven't been knocked over or taken. That check alone gives many owners peace of mind.
When you return in the fall, service simply continues. You never need to learn the schedule again, even if your hauler changes it over the summer.
Pause and Resume Around Your Travel
Not every seasonal owner wants service all year. Some prefer it only while they are in residence and the house generates real trash; others want it most while they are away. Both work. Text us the dates and we pause or resume service accordingly.
Service is month to month. There are no long-term contracts and no penalties for pausing. Your crew and your storage instructions stay on file, so restarting is a single message.
Many owners choose to keep service running year-round because the visible signal of an occupied home is worth more to them than the savings of pausing.
An Empty House Shouldn't Look Empty
Cans stuck at the curb for a week tell everyone driving by that nobody is home. That is the opposite of what you want for a vacant property. Regular rollout and return makes the house look lived in, alongside the timers and the mail hold you already use.
We also notice things a seasonal owner would want to know: a gate left open, a damaged cart, a bin the hauler skipped, storm loose trash near the storage area. You get a note with the photo so your house watcher or property manager can follow up.
We are not a home watch company, but the weekly visit adds one more set of eyes on the property.
No HOA Letters Waiting When You Get Back
Associations in communities like those around Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Palm Beach Gardens often restrict how long cans can sit at the curb. Seasonal owners are frequent recipients of violation notices simply because nobody was home to bring the cans in.
Consistent service keeps your address off that list. If your HOA has specific rules about storage or placement, tell us once and we follow them every time. No neighbor complaints, no board letters piling up in a mailbox you are not checking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pause service while I'm up north and restart in the fall?+
Yes. Service is month to month, so you can pause for any stretch and restart with a text or call to 561-913-2023. Your address, storage instructions and gate details stay on file, so there is nothing to set up again when you come back. Many owners keep it running all summer instead, because the house looks occupied when cans move every week.
How will I know the cans were handled while I'm away?+
After every visit we send a text photo showing your carts returned to their storage spot. You can see it wherever you are, whether that is Ohio, New York or Ontario. If something looks off — a damaged cart, a gate open, a bin the hauler skipped — we include a short note so your house watcher or manager can follow up promptly.
Will you still come if the bins are empty that week?+
We follow your collection calendar either way. If the bins are empty, the visit still confirms they are secured and in place, which matters after storms or when landscapers and house watchers use the property. If you would prefer service only when trash is generated, you can pause during long absences and resume when you return.
Do I need to be home to start service?+
No. Most seasonal owners sign up by phone from wherever they are. We ask for the address, where the cans are stored, any gate code or access details, and your HOA's rules about cart placement if you know them. A photo of the storage area helps. That is everything we need to begin on your next collection day.
What does Trash Caddy cost for a seasonal home?+
Standard can-to-curb service is $89 per month, billed month to month with no long-term contract. It includes rollout before each scheduled pickup, return after collection and a photo confirmation every visit. You pay only for the months you keep service active. Premium plans and trash can cleaning are available by quote if you want more.
Can my house watcher or property manager contact you?+
Yes. Tell us who manages the home while you are away and we will add them as an approved contact. They can call or text with questions, and we can send them the same visit notes you receive. It keeps everyone involved in caring for the house informed without you relaying messages from out of state.
What happens to my cans during hurricane season?+
After collection we return carts to storage rather than leaving them at the curb, which reduces the chance they become flying loose trash. When the county changes schedules for a storm, we adjust our route and resume on the next rescheduled pickup day. If you want cans moved into the garage before a storm, call us and we will do our best to accommodate.
